A range of scouts, events and bonuses are launching today in Pokémon Masters EX to celebrate the run-up to the game's 5 year anniversary. Together with the previously announced debut of Sygna Suit Nemona & Scream Tail, players can also take advantage of a new story event, a new Special Sync Pair Event featuring Professor Oak & Nidorino, and a new Extreme Battle Event featuring Anabel, and a selection of special log-in bonuses. A selection of returning Master Fair Scouts will also commence later this week.
For the next month, until September 14th at 10:59pm (PDT), the in-game Pokémon Center will be getting a special makeover to celebrate the 4 year anniversary, including updates to the background music. More information on additional upcoming anniversary events is expected to be released in the regular letter from the game's producers later this month.
Sygna Suit Nemona & Scream Tail will make their debut in this new Master Fair Scout, alongside the new Ancient Visitor Story Event. This scout is available in-game now, and will run through to September 16th, at 10:59pm (PDT).
Sygna Suit Nemona & Scream Tail are a Fairy-type Strike (Physical) Role Sync Pair. This Master Fair-exclusive Sync Pair is being released with an expanded sync grid, the ability to be raided to 6★ EX, and an unlockable Sprint EX Role. Raising the pair to 6★ EX also unlocks a new outfit for Nemona, with her jacket changed to a black and crimson design with yellow and white highlights, while her top and dress changes to a more pale pink with yellow highlights. Pairing up with Sygna Suit Nemona & Scream Tail will also add a new song to the Jukebox.
As usual for Master Fair scouts, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 12% chance of appearing, with the featured pair having a higher chance of appearing than other pairs. Master Fair-exclusive Sync Pairs may reappear in future Master Fair Scouts.
The Sygna Suit Nemona Master Fair Scout includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for ×100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. The first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:
- 1st Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin ×1, Support Move Candy Coin ×1, Tech Move Candy Coin ×1
- 2nd Scout: 5★ Power-Up ×2
- 3rd Scout: Sprint Move Candy Coin x1, Field Move Candy Coin ×1
- 4th Scout: 5★ Power-Up ×4
- 5th Scout: Move Candy Coin ×1
In addition, a Special Present! Sygna Suit Nemona Master Fair Scout is also available, requiring paid gems. This scout gives the same rewards as the regular Sygna Suit Nemona Master Fair Scout for the first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this scout. In addition, players who team up with Sygna Suit Nemona & Scream Tail in this scout will also receive a Sprint Roll Cake item, which is required to unlock their EX Role.
In this new story event, Nemona partners up with Scream Tail and immediately takes it into battle. This event is available in-game now, and will continue until September 16th, at 10:59pm (PDT).
As with the recent Ultra Beast Meet-and-Greet and Peculiar Pokémon-Loving Pal Story Events, this event features an altered, simplified format, where players will collect Event Points as they complete battles, earning rewards based on the total amount of event points acquired instead of trading for specific desired rewards. Featured event rewards include 5★ Scout Tickets, Skill Items, a Strike Move Candy Coin, 5★ Power-Ups, and Event Medals. Other rewards able to be obtained include Special Skill Feathers 44, custom Sync Orbs Sygna Suit Nemona & Scream Tail, and Lucky Cookies for Sygna Suit Nemona & Scream Tail and Anabel & Snorlax.
As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:
- : +60% (×1.6) bonus rewards
- , , : +40% (×1.4) bonus rewards
- All other sync pairs with the Paldea Theme Skill: +20% (×1.2) bonus rewards
- All other Fairy-type Sync Pairs: +20% (×1.2) bonus rewards
These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Sygna Suit Nemona & Scream Tail, Arven & Mabosstiff, and Penny & Sylveon would grant a combined +140% (×2.4) rewards.
Players should also note the following when playing this event:
- The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00pm (PDT).
- To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
- All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
- All Event Points collected during this event will be automatically deleted once the event is over.
This Special Sync Pair Event allows players to team-up with an exclusive Sync Pair, Professor Oak & Nidorino, who are making their Pokémon Masters EX debut as part of this event. This event is live in-game now, and will remain available until September 27th, at 10:59pm (PDT).
Professor Oak & Nidorino are a Poison-type Support Role Sync Pair with an expanded sync grid, the ability to be raided to 6★ EX, and an unlockable Sprint EX Role.
Professor Oak & Nidorino can be acquired simply by completing the first Story area of the event. By completing stages in the event, players will be rewarded with Event Voucher U items, which can be exchanged for additional copies of the sync pair to improve their sync moves and move level, Custom Sync Orbs for Professor Oak & Nidorino, and other items.
Players should also note the following when playing this event:
- To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
- All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
- When the exchange period for the vouchers obtained in this event ends, leftover Event Voucher U items will be converted into coins (10 coins per voucher) and sent to each player's Present Box.
This Special Sync Pair Event includes a log-in bonus over 10 days. Players can receive these bonuses up until September 27th, at 10:59pm (PDT), so even if you're a bit late starting the event you'll still have the chance to receive all of the available gifts.
- Days 1-10: Custom ★ Power-Ups for Professor Oak & Nidorino ×2
Players will face off against Anabel in this latest Extreme Battle. Fairy-Type Sync Pairs, as well as Sync Pairs with the Paldea Theme Skill, will receive boosts to their Attack, Special Attack, Defense, and Special Defense, with this strength bonus increasing with difficulty level.
Players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier to participate in this event. This event will run until September 17th, at 10:59pm (PDT).
Until September 14th at 10:59pm (PDT), players will receive up to 10 special 10-Pair Scout Tickets as log-in bonuses, at a rate of one ticket per day. These tickets can be used exclusively in a 10-Pair Scout, which will remain available in-game until September 21st at 10:59pm (PDT). This Ticket Scout includes all Sync Pairs within the general pool, including 5★ Sync Pairs, along with a wide variety previous Poké Fair Scout-exclusive Sync Pairs.
Log-in Bonus
A special log-in bonus over 8 days for the run-up to the 5 year anniversary is available in game now, continuing through until August 28th at 10:59pm (PDT). The rewards being offered each day are as follows:
- Days 1-8: Gems ×300
The following four Event Gem Specials will be available in the purchase gems tab of the in-game shop until August 27th, at 10:59pm (PDT), offering discounted prices on paid gems.
- Run-up to 5 gem special 1: Gems ×300
- Run-up to 5 gem special 2: Gems ×1,300
- Run-up to 5 gem special 3: Gems ×4,000
- Run-up to 5 gem special 4: Gems ×14,000
Returning Master Fair Scouts
Three separate Master Sync Pairs will be returning to the game over the next 3 days, in separate Master Fair Scouts. All three scouts will conclude on August 27th, at 10:59pm (PDT)
- Marnie Master Fair Scout: August 19th at 11:00pm (PDT)
- Hop Master Fair Scout: August 20th at 11:00pm (PDT)
- Bede Master Fair Scout: August 21st at 11:00pm (PDT)
